This Tamiya Racer is obviously copied from an original Williams F1 racer, the FW11B model. .

| The
Williams FW11 proved to be the fastest car on the grid in the 1986 season
but it was let down by its poor reliability. Driver Nigel Mansell ended
runner-up in the driver's championship. For the 1987 the problems were
ironed and the modified car was named FW11B. |

| With
the problems out of the way there was no stopping the Williams duo Nigel
Mansell and Nelson Piquet. Eventually Piquet won his third championship
even though with 6 victories Mansell had won twice as many races he ended
the season as runner-up again. |
