2 photos :)
just done on my phone :P

those brown flecks are mud, i ran it a few times today :woohoo:

parts it has from the warhead jeep thing:
wheels/tires
spur gear
shocks
battery
motor
esc
receiver

things i have done to it
removed the droop screws to get a few more mm's in ride height
put the original cooling on brushless, why not?
removed the horrible looking fake spare tire and put an actual one on the back
replaced the plastic spur with the metal one out of the warhead
swapped the too long plastic shocks with great fitting metal shocks
kept the servo, its surprisingly good :)
put in my orange receiver because the original gun transmitter was glitching a little bit
put my good tires on it

the bad things when you first buy the buggy
shocks
motor
esc
transmitter
battery
spur

the good things when you first buy the buggy
everything besides the above
my good parts from the warhead fit perfectly
the servo is fast and strong, it says waterproof but i don't really trust the sticker, no point in waterproofing it if its the only thing, my esc, receiver, motor, battery can't get wet :n:

yeah it is
i'm thinking of doing a monster energy based paint job on it, not sure what the best way to remove the paint it, i think it might be printed on. any sugestions?
the motor runs cooler than on the warhead and its quieter :)
it reminds me of an axial EXO, but without the 16 screws to get to the esc ;)
it has too much power for wet roads :) if it is dry then it wheelies on command :woohoo:

do it, if you don't like it, sell it
buy a brushless setup and some upgrades if you do buy it

Re:Re: hsp warhead brushless conversion 10 years 4 months ago #27034

Bashed my car at the port macquarie skate park
Results:
2 bent drive shafts
1 bent shock shaft, i swapped my metal shocks for the stock plastic because the oil is thicker and better for jumps
2 stripped screw holes for the front bumper
1 bent body clip
Esc fell out
A screw for the roof popped through
1 broke a piece of the chassis off, not structual though :)
When i broke the chassis i found out that it is FRP wooo bonus
The concrete was very smooth so it needed a bit of getting used to.
I was jumping this thing soo high and landing on concrete really hard and it survived. I would rather this than a a big named brand :D
No videos though, i will probably take it back there tomorrow so i will hopefully get some then, i dont have my pc so i wont be able to upload in a while :(
