I have stripped it down and will be giving it a good clean. Can you use ball bearings? as the brass have grove`s round the edge never seen that before. Previous owner silicone round the gear box but will i have too?? i guess i don`t have to. and i have fix the crack on the body shell. Any ideas would be grateful

HI!... Do the whitening trick on all the white plastic parts. It will make them look almost like new after a few days.

Boiling the front bumper in boiling water for a few minutes will help get rid of the stress marks.
I don't see why you could not use ball races - they should be identical to the SRB. Re silicon - it is used for waterproofing, so not strictly necessary if you are not planning to get it wet! I would use a VERY SMALL amount of clear silicone on the joints and wipe off any excess before it dries. Nothing looks worse than big blobs of silicone all over the place. edit: Can you post a picture of the grooves around the brass bushes? I'm curious |
