Thanks Edou.
I have my own Re-Release! Tamiya are behind the times regarding SCT's. Someone has built one using a TRF-201 as a base, TS-201SC If this was an off the shelf truck, I'd get one. There isn't much separating the other competition spec trucks, Kyosho Ultima SC, Associated SC10, and Losi XXX-SCT. Comes down to branding in the end, so if Tamiya had one, the decision would be easy! Could have some fun with the chrome decals. Give some Vintage designs a Modern feel, just as you've done with the Ray. |

Maybe you can live up the short course fever with this magazine :
Link has expired... Concerning the Ray - the wing needs some more work and is gonna get some cool decals too. I'm gonna try and see if I can cut a blue Manta Ray from the chrome. Cutting your own from a generic sheet like this turned out a lot better than I thought. Suspected they would look nice but it looks pretty slick. I'm gonna take a look around for some more of this stuff for another car maybe. Thinking decals with a carbon fiber design might bring a nice effect too... Hoping to get my hands on an airbrush soon for the next body. But finishing the M-Ray is still first thing on the agenda of course. |

Thanks - it took a lot of effort (I underestimated that) but it's finally starting to look the way I intended.
I saw you were having a sale on TG. If you happen to have a TA03 ball diff for sale I'd be very interested for the Ray! Had some other cool hop ups in mind for the chassis but that shipment got lost for some reason. Among it were the ball adjusters for changing the camber angle with turnbuckles... I'll have to search for an alternative or have patience until they appear again somewhere. The plan is to make a real (brushed) speed monster out of the Manta Ray! |

The item on the right should help with that : It's the Skyline speed tuned gear set that should also fit the Manta Ray. Inside are a spur with 69 and one with 66 teeth... Both should make the Ray run faster than the regular 74-teeth spur. Just gotta figure out the ratios and pinion options. The alloy wheel nuts (both blue and black) are also in! And a nice little 3Racing decal sheet that came with it. And I'm still working on blue alloy hop ups... Can't really seem to help that : These will actually go on the chassis prepared for the Humvee body but the Ray will get a set of turnbuckles too. No speed monster can do without the ability to adjust camber (2) and toe (1)! Fitted here is an original Top Force hop up tunbuckle (1) that will go on the MR. I still have the get the right fixings for the ones that will allow adjusting camber... |

Yep - it already says "blue factor" on the Ray so I had no choice.
Think I might have an addiction to blue - is that even possible? I had my eye on this motor for about a year. Already have it's 23T "twin" installed... The quality is awesome and I already have new (high grade) brushes here that can be fitted. When you buy it new, it's very pricy so it's cool to get one off eBay. It not being new is no problem at all - just have to see if I can get a new sticker for it maybe. I now finally have a few rpm on Adrian's Tamiya RR too, otherwise I'd still get my badword kicked by his Boomerang! Wonder how that project's going btw... |

You have been diagnosed with cyanomania.
New sticker might be hard to track down. I have seen motor stickers before, but can't remember where. Did you want a whole new sticker for the can, or just the small white one? Adrian has been quiet for a while. Lets hope he's busy with his Boomer! |

First official case of cyanomania I guess it is then!
But more the blue variety than the green... The can itself is still okay I think - was thinking more about the little white sticker. Maybe I'll ask the Lrp factory for some info. They always respond well to questions. Would be very nice when he's got it running well. |
