They're alloy Axials. I indeed saw the chassis (Ducdennis told me about it) and I bid on it too. But he wanted about 150 euro - I'd rather buy a Top Force for that. |

Sorry about the big 'Pro-line' decal btw.
Although it kinda reflects the in-your-face tyres... I just threw on some stickers to make it look a bit less dull. If I want to run the chassis with the Manta Ray body, I would have to hold it down with something else than the body mount. That's just tiny and the reinforced body is too thick for it. Even after an attempt at modding it. But I'm damaging more than I'm making right with that. Such is the fate of a custom build though. Some good news on the body and painting front! I might just get a basic compressor soon that will enable the use of an airbrush. And I'm about to trade some parts for another DF-01 body - the Dirt Trasher! But that's all still in the process. Definitely not going to do box art on this shell btw. It's screaming for a stealthy colour! |

Triple wow and a couple of woohoos - I just received a package containing this airbrush compressor :
Drillspot.com Can you believe someone wanted me to have this just at shipping? Quite incredible... That really ads to the Rc experience and I'll be able to paint some awesome bodies with it. |

I'm more impressed with how they managed to get it in such a small box |

I don't think I can get away with calling it a Terra Conqueror although the shape is exactly the same.
And a great shape it is if I may add. But it clearly says 58204 on the plastic plus there's a date. Not losing any sleep over that... Got some crazy plans with the Dirt Trasher body. Think the trade will turn out fine. It's definitely gonna be stealthy and I think I'll give it some jet fighter decals. Call it Dirt Raptor. Less camo than this but the pic is crazy cool : I actually planned to put a set of these rims on the chassis : But the tyres weren't that much of a priority yet since I have the Levant/Dirt Hawg combo. And there was only one tyre that really qualified for what I had in mind : 2.8" Pro-line Road Rages! The Levant rims have quite a different offset from the Imex Eagles : The Black Eagles with Road Rages on it will make the stance less wide which is more towards an on road experience. If the shocks are as vertical as possible and the tension on the springs set quite hard, that should also add. Doing the reverse will make for an awesome off roader. Hopefully with a TBG Top Force body on it eventually... Too bad an original body set costs about as much as a nice used Top Force. Come on Tamiya! Do another rerere... or a rere TF Evo. That'll all take a while to gather but the wheel is the most awesome oversized setup I could imagine. I think the first things to do now will be to cut out the Blazing Star body and wait on the alloy servo stay. Won't get to painting the body yet since I wanna do it with an airbrush but most of all because of the weather. But I'll have a nice job ahead in cutting and then fitting the clear shell! |
