Thanks man, you should see it for real...
I was a bit intimidated by it's brutal look myself when I put on all the Pro-line stuff. Hope to get some decent paint soon so I can use the airbrush for the first time. And some good weather of course. |

Glueing the tyres didn't go as smooth as fitting the wing at all...
It's hard to do this job exactly right anyway. I used different CA glue this time and that turned out to be quite a bit thinner. So some of it ran outside the rim... I chose to let it flow out on that side rather than the inside because otherwise the foams would get hard and lumpy. So that part was a conscious decision. Not the abundance of glue though... I'd called this one a medium succes - but then I don't feel so bad about using them. When I glued the Dirt Hawgs I used two rubberbands to let the tyre flange attach in the groove of the rim better : But the Road Rages are much softer so that was too much for them : So I only used one rubberband : Where there's the bigger Pro-line letters on the side of the tyre, the rubber is even softer. As can be seen at the bottom left on the picture below... so I had to take extra care there. I glued all the insides first, then let that dry a bit and did all the wheels on the outside. Always with the most recently glued side facing downward. After that I placed them on the heating for a short while. And didn't leave the rubberbands on for too long... |
