Check it out - Top Force goodies! :cheer: :)

There's definitely life left in the body shell. Thanks Spitfire. :y:
And at least I have one of the Evo decals... if I can salvage it.
Would be interesting to see how slick I can get the original undercowl again.
Gotta say the one from TBG looks like a nice quality. And the blue film is cool.

I will be handling it respectfully... :)
Got an idea for a bull bar though.
And a camo paintjob that'll hopefully be anywhere near this quality :

Zephyrin, I think I have the same shocks coming this way that you have on your Wild One.
Got 'em off eBay though... they'll go on (more or less) the car I started this thread with.

they are actually 100mm, but still fit when they're squished down :n:
you could trim them though

I guess they are shorter ones then - 85mm. :side:

They're not gonna go on the FRP chassis car btw but on a bathtub Manta Ray that I will also build.
More or less the car I started with, merged with some cool with hop ups from a British parts lot...
I think I'll put that one up for sale. Just needed some nice shocks (not too expensive) to make it a complete car.

Man, cutting that undercowl right is a lot of work... :S
Normally I enjoy this job but with this item it's very fiddly.
The lines on the TBG lexan are hardly visible too...
But I'm almost done - still have to do the rear though :

More adversity - I killed some of the small countersunk screws on the chassis.
And then I decided to take it all apart so I can give the plate another polish :

While I'm at it, I will replace any of the remaining blue details with silver.
The servo horn for example - that normally doesn't come in that colour :

After a bath of bleech :

Then a scrub with a toothbrush and WD-40, some more bleech and a polish with the Dremel :

I also replaced the 3Racing servo saver with the only genuine Tamiya I have... B)
Another detail I will attend to - the proper Top Force aluminium wing washers and some press nuts :

Next is elbow grease again for polishing the FRP plate...

The screws I murdered :

Causing the need to take it apart much more than I intended and the decision to do another overhaul on the details.
Like this one - replacing the bearings with blue teflon shielding in the steering assembly...

...with black specimen :

The turnbuckles will be the last blue items to be replaced. I don't have an alternative yet...
