Comparison of the chassis of my Big Bear and Land Cruiser. I am assuming that the Big Bear chassis (the grey one) is later (probably from the later release) because it is wider to fit a 7.2v stick pack.
The Land Cruiser chassis has been "modified" to accept a stick pack. I think I need to rectify this and buy a hump pack. Although I will probably need to modify the body to clear the hump.

Thought I had uploaded these pictures earlier - obviously not
There are a couple of screw tabs broken on the LC gearbox, so I decided to use the gearbox from the Big Bear. It is also the later type which is stronger. Opened it up and found this... Yuck Central strengthening plate on the later gearbox. Screwdriver load of guck scraped out of the gearbox. |
