Replacing a diff in the front gearbox is a little more complicated than on the rear...
But removing the lower gearbox cover to get access is basically enough here too. I choose to leave the U-shaped shaft on. I find fitting it is one of the fiddliest things on the car. This way you will not have as much room to work though : Building yet another ball diff to fit in there : Also got rid of most of the play that the wheel axles and dogbones had by adding a few O-rings. The car has a sweet (and solid) setup now... |
