Thanks guys. I've ordered some bearings (24! ) and some cheap, lairy yellow drift wheels.
I think the shell will do for now as it will be for practising, but I've looked at the Racing Punk site and those will definitely be a possibility for the future.

Any other issues I need to be aware of with the TL-01 chassis?

Started stripping down last night. I'm quite pleased - everything seems to be there and nothing is broken. :y:

New bits:

Bodyshell not too bad after a wash. Certainly good enough for a runner belonging to an 11 year old!

Those yellow rim's match up nicely with that blue ru body :) Are you going splash a few new decals on it ?

Got it running today. Really chuffed - bog standard silver can, no mods other than ballraces, locked (Araldited) rear diff and cheap, slidey tyres and it drifts really well!
It's dead easy to get the back out but really controllable. Even my 11 year old could get it drifting (when I let him have a go that is!)

Only problem is that the tyres keep coming off the rims. Guess a drop of superglue will sort that out.

BTW the "Drifting Sparkle" tyres have bits of metal embedded in them so they strike sparks on concrete
