Tamiya did not have to look far to find inspiration for the 58095 model. The Lotus 102B Judd was even sponsored by Tamiya. The Lotus 102B was built for the 1991 F1 season. Even with 800 new components compared to the previous model, the new racer was not graced with a new type designation. The heavy and relatively unreliable Lamborghini engine from the 102 was replaced by the Japanese made Judd EV V8 and the drivers were also changed. Mika Häkkinen and Julian Bailey filled the seats. Mika Häkkinen drove the no. 11. The 102B enabled Lotus to get 3 points in the 1991 season, same as in the 1990 season. As you will see, there are some differences between the different photos and the Tamiya model. The last picture is probably the most correct for the Tamiya version.
