The midnight Pumpkin is based on Ford's  F-100 body, with somewhat oversized chassis and wheels. The body shape of the F100 is more or less an icon in some areas of USA, and the F100 was called 'Pumpkin' by the Americans, hence Tamiya's choice of name. This customized F-100 has a lot o the elements of the Midnight Pumpkin. Flames, black colour, and chrome. But of course, this one just does not have the height for off-roading.
