Hey guys,

Thought I'd start a topic about what batteries y'all are using - and what you're charging 'em with.
Adding a poll for the battery pack type...

I'm a fan of batteries and chargers so I tried to get the best (I could possibly afford).
A 225W (15V - 15A) Graupner power supply hooked up to an LRP Pulsar 3 :

That charger is pretty awesome. B)
I voted NiMH myself. There's actually more NiCds arounds but that's the one I use most...

Often thought of as less important... but not in my book - the penlites and their device to get juiced up.
I have the mother of chargers for that (AA and AAA size), as well as a smaller one (that's also quite capable) :

Batteries of preference (there just aren't any better ones) - Sanyo Eneloop :

They don't dry up but still have about 90% of their charge after a year.
And they're matched like nothing else...

:)

I also have this one for NiCd shock therapy :

It's not smart enough to think increased peak voltage due to crystallisation means the battery is full...

I think you may be able to launch a space shuttle with the one from that link. :silly:
That's some serious charging power...

There is not an option for mixed? - I use NiMh and more recently LiPo due to having more punch and lasting longer.

A similar situation to mine... I'd vote for Lipo. :y:
Or maybe "other" of course if you still use both equally.

LiPo is not explosive I think, from what I have seen and heard you have to treat them very badly... Lack of balance charges, physical cell damage and overcharging/discharging.
