Hello people.
Does anybody know whether the rz motor will fit in a vintage Supershot?

Thanks

Matt

I haven't tried but I'm pretty sure the motor will fit physically.
If the gearbox can handle the torque/power is another matter... :)

I'd also look at the gearing - if it's too tall you risk the motor overheating & pulling too much current through the wiring and speed control.

I'd start with the 13T pinion & work from there - if the car goes "NNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111111" & passes you at like 2km/h, you can try the next pinion size up (15T).

To Larbut & Jonny,
Thanks you for the advice. The gearbox I kinda figured in fact, the current no.
I tried to bid on two technigold engines on eBay until the end but I let them go because they both went over my budget. One ended at 95€ the other at 125€! Next time maybe. If I get the rz il start with a 13t pinion gear and see. Thanks a lot!

Cheers

Matt
