Should look pretty sick. B)
They're 2.8" and there's not much to choose from. Already had the (Tamiya) Levant rims.
Getting non-Tamiya tyres is quite a drag since the place to be is then the States...
Much easier to order stuff in Europe or in Asia. :S

Adding some new data and improving the existing list - got all the Group Cs done. :cheer:

Got quite a bit done with the higher numbers on the list.
Could use a check on the Bullhead and some help on the Bear Hawk front tyres to complete the entries. ;)

58089 Bullhead
Front (165mm/107mm/74mm/94mm) (tyre 6205030, rim 0445154)
Rear (165mm/107mm/74mm/94mm) (tyre 6205030, rim 0445154)
9805226 replaces 6205030, 0555026 replaces 0445154
58093 Bear Hawk
Front ?/?/53mm/19mm - tyre glued to grooves in rim (tyre 53048, rim 0335117)
Rear 84mm/38mm/57mm/34mm - tyre glued to grooves in rim (tyre 53059, rim 0335102)

Edit - done some more but I'll have to double check later. The numbers are floating before my eyes a bit now. :pinch:

Re: Help me with tire / rim sizes! 12 years 2 months ago #5343

numbers are floating

That was because of the Group C tyres. And there's still a bit of confusion - with the front of the car.

There are five Group Cs amongst the first 100 cars.
The C11, Jaguar XJR-12 and Nissan 300 ZX have 50397 as a front tyre. The NSX and F40 use #50415.
One would expect the markings behind the parts number to reflect the dimensions of the tyre.
So RD 4428 would mean 44mm diameter and 28mm width. Which would make the 50415 tyre a bit wider.

I have a number of Group C wheels but I'm not sure of their origin.
So I'm not able to make a definite conclusion.
Any help on this one would be much apppreciated too. :)

Quite a few gaps in the upper regions can also be filled with the F101s that all (three) use the same setup.
Front tyre 50389 RD4430 would make it 44mm diameter and 30mm wide.
Rear tyre 50389 RD3645 makes for D=36mm and 45mm width...

Help me with tire / rim sizes! 11 years 5 days ago #19943

Hi all,

Having just pulled my Madcap back out of the loft, I thought I contribute to the post (and effect a Lazarus style awakening!)

58082 Madcap

Front (76mm/21mm/53mm/19mm) - tyre glued in to rim (tyre 53048, rim 53057)
Rear (83mm/39mm/57mm/34mm) - tyre glued in to rim (tyre 53059, rim 53058)

This is likely the case for 58083 Saint Dragon as well.

Thanks!

Hi there, The Answer is Yes the Hotshot rear tyres will fit the rear wheels on the DT02, The tyre size is 2.2 so there are plenty of option for you other than that :)
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

Thank you that's great. The stock tyres don't have enough contact area and my thinking was that the pattern on the boomerang tyres had enough front face on the tread to be useful in the loose stuff.

Not sure if this is still a topic that is in use, but thougt i'd add to it anyway.

58056 The Falcon
tire D / width - rim D / width
Front 73mm/21mm - 54mm / 19mm
Rear 82mm/37mm - 51mm / 34mm

I think the Rims are in inches which would be
Front rim D = 2.1inch
rear rim D = 2.0inch

For me is the question, which tyre would fit the Falcon. Even if it is not a spike tyre. I would just love to first drive it around a bit.

Falcon uses the same tires as Striker/Grasshopper II.
Uses the same wheels too, only molded in yellow instead of white.
