Got a pink Bush Devil rear wheel from tamiya nut - thanks Chris - and my TA01 motor mount in the post this morning ... unfortunately I cocked up on the colour: I was conviced I'd ordered a silber one, but it's definitely blau ... I went back & checked the order confirmation - they'd got it right, I'd got it wrong

A dream come through finally i got myself an original 58072 Avante!!!
Already ordered new body & decals and new tires. The aluminium parts are a bit crooked/weathered, anybody knows how to clean the parts up?? And wing is broken. But overall very happy with it, and ofc as usual no motor.... sigh think i will order a technituned Avante2011 one Cheers, Bram Restoring Countach 58005

One of the greatest vintage scores you could possibly make...
You can have a go at polishing the aluminium parts with a Dremel. If that doesn't smooth it out, a dip in sodium hydroxide will clear it up. But you'll most likely have to polish also to get the shine back. Edit - caustic soda grains work best. Trekpleister has a bottle for about 2 bucks. |

Tnx for tips, Edo! I will get me a bottle tomorrow. My dad came round this afternoon and gave me a bottle of Belgom Alu polish, which he says with some hand work will give the best result
