You know when stuff get on top of you a bit?  Well some people eat, some people drink, I tend to buy things.. 

I had a couple of things delivered as you may have guessed...  
Got some screw pins but Tamiya ones were expensive so I got a couple of bags of traxxas ones, theres 8 in each bag and are 3mm with various lengths, which I think is great.

   

I also got a rear axle and 2 center gearboxes, for what will eventually be the crawler.  The axle was on offer on Amazon for just under £7 so after ordering 1 and seeing the quality I ordered another couple. they could be good for a rear wheel drive hotrod. (The front driven Axle is on order, as is a standard one)  

 

Those Traxxas screwpins are 3.14mm thick so they won't fit a standard Tamiya without drill the holes with a 3.2mm drill bit.
I have used those on my TL01 Escort build.

Its ok Richard they are for some 3d printed parts so size is not a problem, going to be drilling the holes out anyway. Thanks for the heads up.
