Another LB got Willied

I killed my Nissan patrol engine. going to holidays today.

Finally trimmed the body and wing for this beastie, Ready for paint

Only a little work and it could be a boat lol.

Did several things today.

Cleaned my old TEU101BK speed controller that took ages!!
10 years ago there was rarly a waterproof esc and if they were, they cost a arm and a leg.
So I used to put a balloon on my esc, clear silicone in the end and two small zip ties at the end.
They never failed and my CC01 was more under water than above.

With age the balloon had turned into slime, and was really messy to get rid of.
But 1.5 hours later, it was useable.
I'm making my #2 Strike a runner, and it was only missing a esc.
I'll making a stand off tomorrow so I don't need to shorten the motor wires.

Last winter I got hold of a Tactic transmitter set for my custom crawler and finally got round to start swapping out my old radio gear.
I like to waterproof my crawlers, so I took the receiver apart and did two coats of clear nail polish.
It really works and are cheap!

I recomend 2 coats and wait a couple of hours between each coat.
Put it together the next day to let it fully cure

Finally after 28 years or therabout, I got to drive my Striker today (back in the day I was test driving one after some repair I did. This on the other hand is one I got a couple of years ago)

Notice the gravel on the asphalt, it was not there before
