Not really vintage but I came across the following on eBay: www.ebay.com/it...1247178942 I was wondering if this is an official Tamiya re-issue and if it's the same as the orignal CS one? Didn't encounter it before. What is it exactly? Can come in handy for restoring original countach body's for example the windows, driver etc?

It's original rerelease bodyset for the Countach. Have one myself. Only thing is the rear lights are transparent instead of the original red.

Another related questions, what's the history about the 'gold' rims? Neither the normal as the CS seem to have them by default? Was it a special 'hop-up'? Anyway I do think the Countach is an awesome car and I start doubting if I shouldn't start restoring this one first before the Porsche 936 .

Those rims look awesome! Interesting question Edou, they aren't listed on tamiyabase as hopup parts or anything when I look at the countach model.

I saw this ebay listing, the rims really make the model to bad the price is a bit high

I've seen the gold rims forsale in the tamiya branded packets, so maybe a special hop up?
