Hi everyone, Chris from Sydney here...just inherited a 1987 hot shot 2 from a mate moving house .Heat sink under rear spoiler. All totally stock, no radio controller. The rear shock mount is snapped off at the top.The front shocks are broken aswell,I have found carbon graphite rear mounts on ebay but I think they are not compatible with the chasis.Im very new at this. The car is neat because it was broken early in its life.Could anyone in Sydney recomend a shop that would be the best to get advice on this car.I understand that I have been gifted a unicorn and I want to respect it...The amount of parts on Ebay is overwhelming.Thankyou.

Hi Chris, Welcome. Luckily the HSII has been re released so all the parts you need are available, The carbon shock tower is not compatible as it requires modification to the cage, Knight Custom have a file to 3d print a reinforced version but you can just buy the re re version which is the same as the OG. As Stingray said Tonys Tamiya parts is the best place as nobody here in Australia really carries spares. I have been running my HSII at vintage events here for years.
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate
