I can relate to the lack of reckless abandon we had as kids when we would launch them headlong into anything in sight. LOL

i remember when i first got my hornet it had the stock motor in it lol
my friends had another car i cant remember what it was anyways
i wouldn't go as fast so i had a idea 2 battery packs 9.6v
so i got the battery's then i took off 2aa battery from each pack right
then i joined the 2 bigger packs together lol and it would fit into the car too lol
i then asked my friend to race again yes it did go faster then
it had to have the 4aa battery pack to do this
the first time i tried i fried all the radio gear i cried for weeks lol
i changed the aa battery pack too to the 9v battery worked very well
not sure if all the radio gear work this way lol

Ah the innocents of childhood knowing hahaha

I only kept the gearbox on my early grasshopper. I remember it was metallic green. The rest of the car was exploded.

Another Milestone day :) Installed the last of the insulation in the rear wall of the shop and fitted the remaining flooring sheet material, Now the top section is undercoated and ready for top coat tomorrow :side: I also managed to bend up some stainless rod to hang the 1/8 buggies on the side of the rack to create some more room

So I top coated the shop walls yesterday and after work tonight I fitted up my signs from the old shop :) I still need to fit the trim between the top and tin and of course all the power points :P It's starting to look like a shop now after putting the stuff around the sides :side:
