Hey guys,
First off, happy New Year to y'all (or soon still for some)! I've been into webdesign for a while and lately into JavaScript's jQuery animations. Check out the application I've been working on lately... It allows the designer to easily create any custom animated scrolling behaviour desired. There wasn't really anything out there like this (that I could find)! A great addition for the neat parallax effect to override jerky default browser scrolling. Scrolling is suddenly fun! ataredo.com/mor...ucidscroll |

Btw, it uses some very capable codes, not just my own bit of script.
One of them is mousewheel.js which is quite awesome. It normalises the response to a turn of the wheel so that a consistent numbers of pixels can be assigned across browsers. For the animated scroll movement itself a special easing is used (and many more supported) so that it decelerates elegantly. Current version is 1.0.1 and more tweaking will follow. |

You can now adjust all the settings on the test page and create your own favourite scroll dynamics.

Too bad there are still too many IE9 users to start ignoring them...
Anyone using Windows XP is better off using Firefox anyway (most likely the IE8 statistic). www.w3schools.c...plorer.asp But to the point - HTML5's got some awesome 3D tricks that don't require JavaScript. Not supported by early IE, the usual party pooper (but Chrome's doing a good job these days as well). onemillionreaso...de/3d.html Edit - please click forward to 3D. Long loading times and automated music tend to antagonize users though (but it's a nice example)... Waiting for the day smartphones get faster and these features are mainstream. |

Just some tips from the experts.
Many are talking traffic optimisation nonsense for crappy sites when they should really just be adding good content... |

Can't hurt to create another domain to put anything not related to RC on...
Especially for seven bucks a year (whois privacy included) with some free hosting : ataredo.com Ftp's a lot faster than my current host for TW. Their downtime is quite unheard of lately. Now I can (hopefully) twiddle around with web code whenever a server is down. |
