Last item is a lightweight Alu pulley Now that the parts are here the next step will be to replace the camshaft, pushrods and install the timing chain cover. Once this done, the block will be painted in red. The painting is sheduled for next week and I hope to find the time to reassemble the engine with the new Edelbrock parts very quickly. I’ll keep you posted Thanks Manotas Proud owner of the Bruiser Family

Wish I lived near you, I’d be straight over to lend a hand. I qualified as a mechanic years ago but changed profession, sometimes I truly miss getting my hands dirty on the cars.

Well, i actually wanted to rebuild the engine stock...but i changed my mind as i started working on it. My goal isn't to modify my car into a Dragster, but slightly improve the car technically without being too noticeable. I decided to go for that kit for a couple of reasons : The heat dissipation is much better with Aluminuim head instead of cast ones Those heads are made for unleaded fuel, for the original ones i'd have to run it with a special additive And it increases the power output And they look really good ha ha ha Other point that will be also imporved are the rear brakes as the rear drum brakes will be replaced with disc ones. Manu, You will build a sleeper. With nice cragar rims or american racing ones.
If you want I have a wood and backelite shelby style steering wheel with a hub for a 67 stang. This was on my friend's 67' |
