I don't think clevis is the correct wording as that serves a different purpose , looks more like a clamp or the spanner bit to hook up a hacksaw blade.
Does the hole have a thread in it? it also looks like the hole is just on one side, i guess the shield fits into the slot, so more like a clamp. |

The one in the picture is a repro one, and I don't know the original looks. The bike was in it's day a budget one, so I doubt they were brass. I ended up getting these, and they will probably end up being painted, or left as is. Thank you very much to all of you helping Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile.
