Wow, making your own mold and pulling your own vacu-formed body is real dedication. And now you can make more!

Yes. Now that I had taken a leave from sanding I’m looking forward to making the mold better and more perfect bodies. 3D-printed mirrors are ready, too.

Awesome job
That would have been too much job for me. Have been thinking of making a body, and I think my route would be similar to Wesmade Builds on YT. (Styrene based) Is this you first scratch built body? |

Thanks!
It was a lot of work. :-D Wesmade: He does great work! But I stick with my method, my bodies are lighter and I can make one more in just 15 minutes. What body would like to build? Yes, this is my first one.

Personally I would love to make a Ford Capri Mk3 body, as those on the market are either not detailed (wrong shape) or are of the Zakspeed racer which I also love.
Next would be the truck from the Alien movie, I just like the look of that one. |

Late 70s/early 80s angular is definitely my favourite school of vehicle design - Lotus Esprit, TR7, X19, mk.1 & 2 Fiesta, mk.3 Escort, matra simca bagheera, Rover SD1 etc etc ... I don't know if there's anything I care enough about to go to these lengths though...

The Tamiya Zakspeed Capri body is lovely, I've got two of them Just look at my signature picture and nickname and you understand why Only thing I don't like is the TT02 chassis it's sitting on. Nothing wrong with it, just not my taste of chassis. There is lot of aftermarket parts for that chassis if you go that route. |
