Tamiya's announcement of their new releases.
Hopefully something for everyone.
Bizarrely the tracked Landfreeder makes me feel they've ripped off Jonny again !!
What does everyone think ?

TL;DR "All mouth and trousers"

The last time Tamiya "teased" a new release turned out to by that awful abomination of Bruiser paint/decals on a thoroughly unsuitable modern truck, so I was fully prepared to be disappointed this time.

The track units _should_be a big deal, but they don't look that capable & otherwise it's a parts bin special with a meh prepainted body. Unimog & 8 wheel tipper are worthwhile variations, but still just variations rather than anything new (Leyland Octopus anyone?).

No new chassis, not even a decent re-release.



Edit - Thunderdragon may appeal to some, & more Super "Let's Fighting Love" Champs can't be a bad thing

I'm tempted by the Comical Hotshot, but just so it can sit next to my original Hotshot.
Fighting Buggy ( Super Champ ), is the one I'd most like, although they've down graded some of the parts from the original.
TheUnimog looks good, I'd quite like to get something on the CC-02 chassis.

Non of them really screams "BUY ME" to me.

TT02 is meh to me and as Jonny says, the Freelander is just a parts bashup.
The tracks should have been put on a more special model to get the right attension.
From the video, as I understand it, the kit comes with 2 sets of belts, one intended for snow.

But I'm glad the TA02 chassis is back.

Recycling and recycling. But glad to see the dragons. And the ta02 <3. I like the mini tank to. My dad has one of the first edition. And me the kubelwagen . 
Jonny are sure that you aren't spied by Tamiya corp? All your creations are released by the brand. That's crazy.

I don't think any of us saw a tracked Landfreeder coming ???
 

No but it is a first one from tamiya and I think the jonny's first tracked rc.

Tamiya forgot something on the comical Hotshot, I took the liberty to correct it.

I just finished installing metal tracks to my T34 and panther G, and now Tamiya comes.with 'real' Tracks. 🤦

 

And to say I am dissapointed may be an understatement. 🤷😔
