Btw LB, could you possibly do another parts check for me?
I was wondering if the CR-01 wheel axles are actually the same size as the TG10s, used on the DF-01.

Edit - unless you have to take apart the whole car of course, like with the diff.

From what I can make out, the TG10 and the DF01 use standard "dog bones", but the ball at the end of the "dog bone" is the same size, I think it's a Tamiya standard.

Did not realize a standard CR-01 also comes with the TG10 wheel axles...
But it's enough info to be sure the hop up (54048 - hardened) will fit as well.

Any specific reason you checking? Or is it more for research? Because the thing I've noticed is that the hardened versions will never be needed on the CR-01, unless you upgrade the prop shafts. The prop shafts are the designed weakness of the CR-01, and they twist very easily when caught in a bind. Therefore the wheel axle will hardly wear under normal use.

Just an observation...

It's for my FRP DF-01 because I used the rear wheel axles from that on the current build.
So now I need to find a replacement... and a hop up is always very tempting.

I'm using universals on the front of that car. On the rear I have hardened (ball) diff cups and dogbones alraedy.
So the wheel axles would be the weakest link then and I might as well get the hardened version while I'm at it.
Gotta finish the other build first though but it's good to know...
