Hey Mr. Retro,
I too like the resin idea, keeping it clean and the correct shape....very smart indeed It reminds me of a trick my armor modeling friends do to make tarps and bed rolls out of tissue soaked in watered down glue, very effective too. I might need to try one of these tops on my next Willy From somewhere out in the wilds of central Ontario.

Hey,
Given the origins of the Wild Willy I would suggest that old army standard of olive green for the canvas. Perhaps applied unevenly with an airbrush so it would have some tonal variations, you know....... sun fading and such....... From somewhere out in the wilds of central Ontario.
