Next project on the bench Is my Knight Customs sandrail, This has been on the shelf for more than 2.5 years waiting to be rebuilt
Stripped it down and spent a few hours in the media blasting cabinet
There was 4 layers of paint on everything, It was primed with white first then the chassis was painted black and the cage Orange. Next it was primed grey and the chassis was painted metallic blue and the cage metallic purple
I will need to machine some alloy tubes the correct width as the top cage ones are to narrow, Also the PO had for some unknown reason cut out the cross brace which carries the steering wheel tube???? Thankfully Mr Knight was able to supply this piece for me and It's currently in the post
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate

The replacement cross member arrived from Mr Knight today
I measured and used a collar to cut the parts squarely, Next I made support pins and hand drilled the parts. I fitted the cage to confirm correct fitment before applying some holding glue, After taking apart I added Sodium Bicarbonate as a filler and completed gluing. I'll leave overnight before I sand to shape and then it will be on to primer paint

Are you going to try every single color of the rainbow? Just saying as it is what it looks like now
This yellow seems to be quite flashy and adapted to this nice car, though I buy kits to built and ru(i)n them

Like the new color very much!
One of those projects I want to do, but never seems I get round and order things.
