I still had to work on Willy's head... So i started working on this this WE.
I ordered a while ago Tamiya 2mm Masking tape intended for this.

I started painting the whole Helmet in White

And masked the white lining of the colour sheme with the 2mm masking tape. On top of that i masked all the future red parts so that i could start painting the blue part of the helmet. I painted it in TS15

And started taking the masking tape off, but leaving the 2mm

I am now waiting for the blue part to dry completely off, once this done i will mask the blue part and paint the rest in red...Hoping this will work as expected

Keeping the progress on Willy's head.
I't looking not that bad so far...

I masked the blue part so i could paint the red part.

Now painted the red part (can't remember the coulor code right now)

After a few hours time, it was time to unmask it

Pulling on the masking tape very very carefully

The masking tape came off quite well... almost no flaws, i'm pretty happy.

Well, now it's time to pull on the 2mm masking tape i used for the lining of the white color...

I'm really happy with the result ! I will repair the small flaws later on and keep you posted.

Thanks for looking

Willy has been waiting for 11 months to be finalised on my current projects shelf....
I had set myself the goal of not buying any more models until my current projects or pending cars were finished. But, like many of us I didn't keep my word....

As there was soon no more room on this shelf, even after enlarging it, I thought that some of them had to be finished.

So I went on with Willy and corrected some paint flaws.

I corrected it with a brush and white paint X2. The result is not bad at all

Installed Willy in the car.

And here's the Willy's wheeler completed...

Thanks for looking.
