Yes I bought a 2,4 ghz set to hobbyking for less than 40€ with a very small receiver. You need to buy metal central shafts.
Waterbok should answer to you largely better than me. I copied him.
You can get the "basic" set or upgrad it with light and sound module, faster or more torque motors etc.
The lipo aq has a big autonomy too.

I knew something else was required to be bought (also, don't need more Transmitters) I want to buy somewhere just the receiver (I suppose that working with 2.4 it's just matter of pressing the sync button in remote)

I'm not sure. I think that exists several 2,4ghz. But hobbyking sale some receivers alones.

Hey, anybody knows if the audio system is noisy enough for an 1/10? want to get a hi lift for xmas and want it to sound nice...

Oh ist noisy enough, I think I got a total of six by now, got one in my Mammoth dump truck, CR01 and SCX10. You also could add an amp and use bigger speaker.
