Long time no R/C. Haven't had the time or money lately to do much, but things have turned around.
On to the project. YouTube suggested a video of a Tonka Winnebago turned crawler, so I watched it and googled it and saw it done a bunch of times with several different chassis. After pricing a bunch of 4WD chassis I decided they were too expensive, so I took things in a different direction. Can't go wrong with a cheep Chinese robot tank chassis. 
I scored a Winni for 1/3 the cost of what they usually go for. 
I stripped it out and took it to work and sandblasted the old paint off. 
I built up the tank chassis, gave the body a primer coat and did a rough assembly to figure out spacing and electronics.

Got some paint done. 1974 Winnebago off white and grass green.
Also started the interior and filled the refrigerator.
