Richard's 4x4 Twin Turbo Hot Rod build (Axial SCX10 based) 5 years 11 months ago #49682

Wanna see more of this build?

This is my main build of my fleet, as I like to go long trail runs, usually up a little mountain etc.

Thank you very much!

I built the ledbar ;)

Led strip folded to a U shape and glued to a 4.8x4.8mm styrene square rod.
Then made the top and bottom out of a strip styrene.

Works too :y:

Nothing vintage today, but I got round to fit my newly painted rat rod body.
Loads of work still left on this thing..

I'm ready for the trail ride tomorrow.

Got most bits done, but charge piping and intercooler + interior have to wait..

1.5 years later I still puddling away with this.

Many small changes later it now are being rebuilt and hopefully lighter.

Today I finished to build carbon fiber 4 links.
The chassis also changed from orginal Axial SCX10 to a china carbon item.

And the driver is changed from the Sand Rover Cowboy to Wild Willy, which really suit this build better.
As I needed full length figure, the cowboy became really heavy with all the epoxy, so it had to go.
I want this to be somewhat scale, and be able to do long trail runs and light crawling.

It has really not been driven since last year and progress is really slow, I mean really slow.
Mostly due my illness, which makes some days really difficult.

That's looking really nice Caprinut. And I empathise with your health issues. I'm going through the same thing and it's really hard to find the energy and concentration to complete projects.
I wish you all the best.
