I'm just about to embark on a restoration of a Hotshot 1. The original white wheels are in pretty good condition other than they've whitened over time. Rather than painting, has another had any success with plastic whitening methods? Has anyone tried Retr0bright gel? (en.wikipedia.or...etr0bright) I'm tempted to give it a go before resorting to painting.

Try Peroxide and sunlight to whiten your yellowed wheels. It works great, in a non-destructive way, with some patience.
