That previous post could just as easily (though a bit unfairly) gone in the "state of that" thread, I also thought quite a lot about whether this one should have gone in the "how much!" thread.
Wild Willy (M38 SWB) with Wild Wendy figure up at 850 GBP plus post ... it has a very clean chassis & the Wendy figures don't come up that often on eBay. It's not a bargain by any means, but I don't think it's that unreasonable TBH. |

Wendy is expensive....
Is she a tamiya figure or a custom? |

As it says a bit further down on the page you linked to, they're not original Tamiya but were sculpted & reproduced by someone on TamiyaClub, IIRC there are two distinct versions, both were produced in small batches (100 or 200?) plus a few additional figures (prototypes, first shots etc) are known to exist. You'd have to go a long way to find a female figure made by Tamiya - the only ones that comes to mind is in the 1:24 "campus friends" set from the early/mid 80s. The Wild Willy head is big enough that you can make the face a bit more female looking - you can get a Dremel small burr in there & reduce the nose, increase cheekbone definition & widen the eyes a bit, plus paint eyeline & eyelashes on... the hands are a bit too big though.

Custom, made by a guy who also does Hollywood movie stuff. Weta etc. Think his TC name is toymaker. There are now three wild Wendy figures and he also did some driverheads, the one I use as avatar is one of them. He apperantly still makes version 3 but on order it can take several months until finished.
