Motor description:
There are many good things to say about the Dynatech 01R. First, its looks is great, with the black can and gold-greenish decal text. Secondly, the 01R was Tamiya's first hop-up item ever. Item number 53001. The 01R was Tamiya's response to the new growing area of Formula 1 models requiring more speed. Tamiya had at the time released new F1 models now with lighter and more efficient chassis, making the need for higher RPM motors. Enter the 01R with 25000 rpm available. The 01R is manufactured by Mabuchi as a custom model, and named internally as "RX-540VS" The Dynatech 01R was also Tamiya's first motor to have an optional rotor available, with 17 turns of 1.0mm wire. (rotor part no 53041, marked 10017) The motor was supplied as standard in: • 58115 Terra Conqueror kit • 58153 Daytona Thunder kit.
