It did cross my mind from time to time what the Tamiya Rough Rider was originally based on.After a bit of digging on the net it seems Tamiya based it on the 70's Funco ss2 buggy, here's a photo of Bob Maynards Funco in what became the RR's box art colours, apparently the buggy does still excist, nice
