I decided to tackle the battery compartment issue I had with the Crew Cab from the start. Since I don't have any stick packs anymore, I only have soft pack Lipos, and one square hard case Lipo, the original battery compartment in the CC01 chassis can't be used without some serious cutting and butchering. I used to put plug in the battery, and then put the body on(which is bolted on in the back). But on the trails, you don't want the hassle of unbolting a body to change a battery.
So I came up with the idea of making a compartment to house the battery, that looked like a load in the bed. I made some crates out of 2mm styrene and well, here are the pics: Here it is closed: And here it is held closed by some homemade elastic tie downs: And just some pics of other containers: More soon...
