I have found very little information about the Golf Mk1 Kamei Group 2 racer. But there is some though.. The Kamei sponsor has for a long time been a well known VW tuning company. They started off with parts for the VW beetle about 50 years ago. The pictures here are from races in 1977, in Europe, but I have not found information about team or drivers. The last picture is from a front page of the magazine 'Sport Fahrer' in 1979,
