This is super great...
Would it be possible for you to scan those magazines? Same for you Richard? (I have a set of PDF corresponding to Model Cars Monthly from April 1984 to August 1985 I can send you. Originals have been handed to to the website rc-paper.com so they would appear on day or another online at some point). I buy kits to built and ru(i)n them

I’m happy to have a go at scanning them in. Do you want every single page?
This could take me a while, so bear with me. There are some interesting articles and some things might help others identify parts or the history of things. |

Al, that would be super great!
When I scan a magazine, I tend to scan all pages, as there is contextual information on each of the adverts as well : now way you can undertsand how the market was when a car appeared if you don't have the global pictures that goes around it... (For the process, I generally scan all pages in jpg 600dpi, and then convert and assemble them into pdf using online tool (ilovepdf.com is one of them, but it is not the only one - and sometimes the difficulty is to overcome the limitation they impose on their free version (20 pages for ilovepdf) and once I have all the different pdf of the same magazine, I assemble them into one single pdf... There is various ways to do that, your scanner maybe as well able to help into this, but you may have to reorient the pages depending the way you scan them...) Don't hesitate to PM me if you need more details... I buy kits to built and ru(i)n them

Okay, that’s cool. My scanner at home is pretty decent and I can use Acrobat to pull it all together.
I have to agree about keeping everything, I like seeing how many model shops there used to be and where. And how much things used to cost. Those we’re the days. |

Today I received an original chassis for the FAV. It’s in amazing condition, not a mark on the under side,so I suspect this has been sat on a shelf. The steering servo mounts are attached. I have everything to build a complete FAV, but my chassis is a bit rough. Fingers crossed I’ll be building this at the weekend. Attachments: |
