Hi.
Only joined today (10/06/13) and I have a question to ask about rubbing down paintwork. I have just recently resprayed a Tamiya Knight Hauler truck, and I was wondering what is the best way to rub down the paintwork in between the small rivets on the body without completely rubbing them off? I have tried one method by sticking a narrow strip of 1200 grade wet & dry sandpaper to a strip of an old credit card, but this method was too time consuming and not a great looking job when I finished, so I may have to start all over again. If anyone has any goods tips, it will be much appreciated. Thanks guys. |

On my Countach body i used a plastic tooth pick with paint remover on it to get the paint out. Hope this helps.

Hi Lancman,
Welcome on TB, I think Bram already told you the best known method....
But honestly i would have masked them with a tiny bit of self adhesive before painting the body...but it's too late now ha ha ha ha. I'd say go the BramMeijer's way Manotas Proud owner of the Bruiser Family
