This one is very interesting and may have potential. I like the platform. 58552 Asterion XV-01T :...

... But what on earth is going on with the bodywork? I suppose it makes sense to just cut the lower half off the front of the body if it doesn't fit... well it makes sense if you consider what Tamiya did with the Holiday Buggy and Sand Rover re-hashes  :pinch: ... but what's next? the bodyposts don't line up so they omit them & just include some duct tape instead?

Good point, the front's a bit "naked" so let's hope that'll look better on the final design.

Nevermind the shell... uh brick. That can become more or less anything.
The chassis itself is pretty awesome I think. Put my Humvee shell on it.

B)

Oops, forgot for a second that it'll be around $300. :pinch:

You could almost be forgiven for thinking maybe Tamiya feel threatened by the mooky-stink the Chinese are pumping out, & have decided to offer something similar to remain competitive, with a hilarious price tag though, just so you remember it's Tamiya.

Looking at it, I don't think the rest of the shell's that bad, but it's being flooded by the horrendousness of the grille decal. Maybe it would be better with the addition of some holey alloy type bumper/brushguard, or a box (over the whole thing) or maybe a breezeblock & some rope, with a riverbed underneath it...
