My SRBs with all the hop ups 9 years 6 months ago #31654

I custom built these many moons ago with all the hop ups from Ranch Pit Shop in California. Cost me a fortune back then. They all have differential, special motor, longer and wider chassis and lexan bodies just to name a few. The bodies were custom painted myself. They are still in mint condition after all these years. I just gave them a tune up for the past summer.

This is a rare picture of a custom built from Ranch Pit Shop in their retail store and raceway back in the early eighties before it was sold to the Losi family. Those were the days.

I honestly don't think I've seen a SRB with this much hop-ups, ever.
They must be worth a lot today, even compared to the price you paid back then?

Now, if you just found a way to get the monoshock mechanism reproduced, you'll be my hero for eternity

Wow! Just wow.

I have to ask - How old were you when you built these? These don't look like the work of a typical 80s teenager. The attention to detail is amazing.

I might do another template artwork for the monoshock system just like my butterfly chassis when I finish my Ford XLT which has a rear dual shock mount for two stock front shock with some other hop ups and a Ford 150 lexan body. I think I have the template artwork for the dual shock mount some where in my collection.

A template for the extended front shock towers would be very nice too ;)
