Hi Edou, is that Dirt Trasher body a TBG, and can you tell if the rear wing of the Blazing Star and the Dirt Trasher are the same design?

btw TBG got spare rear wings for the Manta Ray and the DT&BS, so cool :y:

The body is a Tamiya, came with a decal sheet. No wing though. Traded it with Hoggy. :)
Part of the trade was the Blazing Star wing so I cannot do a live comparison. But I could ask him about it...
They look identical in the manual at least :

TBG's got some nice stuff... kinda like to get a Top Force at some point.
This build's got that (nylon) Pro-Line wing that looks pretty slick.
And it should be less vulnerable (I hope)...

Nice... :y:
Delivery speed seems to vary. At least Canada Mail stopped striking like they did a while back. :side:

Yep, still hoppin' it up! The same part of the car even - the suspension.
With all this alloy (and more coming) I thought the screws in the suspension arms should really be replaced by shafts.
Less flexibility on the setup has made this the weakest point and the arms might rupture there...
So I was glad to see Lightwatersmodels had a Terra Conqueror shaft bag in stock :

BS6 in the first pic will be replaced by BS1 - same goes for the rear suspension of the car of course :

The set of tunbuckles that will be left over are giving me ideas for the other car that I considered to be finished.

Oh oh, I found out the CC-01 C hubs aren't an exact match after all...

For the search engines : the C-hubs from the Manta Ray, other DF-01s, CC-01, TA01, TA02 and the TA03 are the same!

But the suspension shafts of the CC-01 are 4mm as opposed to 3mm for the Manta Ray descendants!

Guess that explains the vertical tolerance I was experiencing...
I would really need to set that straight with some 4mm OD 3mm ID tube. If there is such a thing (that'll fit well).

Edit - carbon rod? Probably not the best idea... Maybe I could heatshrink.

I think I found the right stuff - hollow brass tube that will decrease the tolerance tenfold...
Outside diameter 4mm and inside 3,1mm. Better than aluminium (or anything else) I reckon.
Thought I was done ordering stuff for this car for a while though.

I was waiting in anticipation for the last GPM alloy parts to arrive...
They'd been out of stock for a while but finally the rear knuckles in black should get here today :

But the guys at Asiatees are either colour blind or dyslectic 'cause they sent me "ordinary" blue ones. Bummer.

Any offence I felt at you using "dyslexic" as a synomym for "stupid" evaporated when I saw you'd misspelled it  :silly:

Haha, I thought I checked that on Google. Not well enough apparently. Suffering from it myself I guess... :silly:
I would certainly not imply it meaning stupid, just the fact that there seems to be some trouble with reading. ;)

It's not the first time they sent me the wrong item btw.
But this one is extra annoying because I've been waiting on it for quite a while...
Also having to ignore Asiatees' "forecast" of when they would be in stock again.
