GPM definitely started anodising stuff more blue (less greenish) lately...
The Yeah Racing shocks were about the same colour but the drive shaft is a bit darker - and the knuckles even more :

Still, it's all interrupted by black so doesn't clash :

More wish list stuff - black springs for the shocks...

Custom steering assembly is also finished!
The modified and reinforced chassis got helicoiled (thanks for the tip, waterbok) :

And the steering is now very solid and straight :

The connection rod (CC-01 came closest and was sourceable) is also an improvement over the home made bit :

Thanks for looking! :cheer:

Thanks! Painting the arms was a bit of a shortcut because they don't let themselves polish well after sanding...
Especially older parts get a somewhat brittle and very (white) hazy surface after smoothening them out.
Not having the proper materials to do it "right" (I was thinking about Novus), made me decide to paint them.
Another reason is that I'll be doing heavy off roading with it so the parts'll probably be damaged again after the first run...

Cheers, Rob. I'll pm you my adress in any case. :y:
I'm good on suspension arms (extra set couldn't hurt though) but what's at the top of the wish list is suspension shafts.
That would be a great upgrade from the Manta Ray screws that I'm using on this build now.
For the rest I think the two chassis are pretty complete.
Even though there's always stuff to wish for of course...

One thing less on the wishlist! Got a great Terra Conqueror shaft bag from Lightwater Models! :cheer:

I think I may even use these turnbuckles instead of the titanium 3Racings...

I have a Manta ray with carbon fibre hop ups just like this one. Is it worth anything? can i get a shell to fit it as i hear the c.f ones are longer.

Welcome DanDare420. :)
Sounds like your car is certainly worth something...
How much exactly depends on the overall state and what upgrades it has exactly.
Is it carbon or possibly FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic)?
But they're popular and some parts are getting rarer so I'm sure it would bring a nice price.

Team Bluegroove on eBay has a reproduction body shell.
Another option would be to fit a Blazing Star - they're easiest (and cheapest) to find.
Plus the shell is the same as the Terra Conqueror and quite beautiful...
Length shouldn't be an issue btw. That will be the same.

Would love to see a picture of your car! :y:

Thanx for the reply, i will deffinately take some photos this weekend and post them i picked it up second hand from a guy at work. So im not 100% exactly what it is its either a "manta ray" or a "top force" the front and rear shock towers are carbon fibre and the chassis and top deck are too. The shocks are yellow plastic and the upright sets are red plastic. But yeah will post a pic and hopefully you guys can tell me what im looking at.

Yellow shocks sounds like a hopped up Manta Ray...
A complete carbon chassis set is a pretty awesome score!
Looking forward to those pics.
