Right well ordered all the bits except the wire wing mount bit will, worry about that when im ready to order the tbg shell. Also ordered a silver can motor hope it works, not overly bothered about speed for now. Could be i didnt set it up right i kinda just fitted a receiver and left everything as it was. But i guess half the fun is getting these things running. Will probably end up striping it down and rebuilding it after all, will post pics if/when i do.

Keep us posted. :)
And you may want to order some ball bearings and grease (if you haven't already) so you can start rebuilding any time. ;)
They're great cars to work on. Not too simple but also not overcomplicated...
Some flaws they have can be overcome if you decide to put in more motor power.

:y:

Btw - I don't mind at all about the posts being in this thread...
Love to talk about DF-01s way too much.
But if you want, I can move them into a thread that was started by you.

Yay my j parts arrived, just realised the piece j12 is on here too and i ordered an aluminium avante one. Oh well now i have some doubles and like you say i can always piece them out and sell on or keep for emergency. Was looking online and saw they re-released the top force in 2006 cant help wonder why the parts are so hard to find already. Heres hoping the re-re release it in near future so i can source my sd2 hex mount.
Im assuming mine is from the early 90's originally as i picked it up second hand in 06/07 and it was in well loved conditon and priced to sell, idk how you can tell tho.

Having an alloy J12 is much cooler. B)
If a TF is built, it'll be hard to tell if it's original or rerelease...
But with a good eye, the edges and drilled holes in the FRP will look a bit different (rougher).

They're one of my favourite shops. :)
Both my DF-01s have a bunch of GPM parts from them.
I always have a look here as well :

www.fortuna-rac.../index.php

Prices are good for a European seller, shipping low and response is always fast. :y:
Big GPM fan here.

B)

GPM TA1021 silver alloy front uprights
GPM TA1025 silver alloy main drive shaft
GPM TA2002 silver alloy motor mount (TA02)
GPM TA2022 black alloy rear knuckle arm (TA02)
GPM CC019 black aluminium C-hub (CC-01)
(Last item needs 4 to 3mm suspension shaft adapters!)
