This has been my experience: Vintage Lunchbox & Pumpkin = screw pin Vintage Pajero wheelies, vintage Grasshopper, vintage Hornet = m3 grub screw onto pin Vintage Road Wizard, vintage Racing Master mk.vi & mk.vii chassis = grubscrew Vintage Super Hornet = screw pin Re-re Lunchboxes, re-re Pumpkin = screw pin Re-re Grasshoppers = screw pin Re-re Hornet = grubscrew 50395 RD Front Upright sets = grubscrew. Is it odd that the Grasshopper re-re went to a screw pin, or is it odd that the re-release Hornet kept the grubscrews? Screw pins I think are forged (well, repeatedly hot-pressed into shape) & need a heat (or at least chemical) treatment after, but grubscrews mean the uprights have to be machined - I'm not sure which is better financially. The Japanese way of course is to keep doing both so no-one looses face
