53044 - OP44 - Dynatech 02H rebuild 11 years 11 months ago #9984

As it is mostly rebuild of cars here, now something different to drool over :P

a Dynatech 02H

Got it with the TF Evo I bought a while ago.
I scored some spares on the bay too, a 6513W rotor and brushes

compared to the spares it looks like it has not so much wear

but, lets take it to pieces and clean it a little.

some bits and pieces

the inside, with a nice view at both bearings

Stator

Rotor

Back together again

The timing setup

No springs attached :silly:

Aarrgh! It's got a cooling fan! Aka - self-destruct device! I've lost count of how many motors I've seen with their windings ripped out due to an internal plastic fan exploding at high revs, & I'm not just talking 540s here either!

the brass tab thats screwed to the endbell is upside down that is not right your timing ring has a little brass plate on the back as you rotate that plate it makes contact with the one on the endbell noticed that lol.. these are great motors !!!

I've been thinking for a while whether I've put my Lrp motor together again exactly right...

Doesn't seem to be that much too it but still - they dropped out before I could determine the exact order.
Can't find any info on that...

Btw - what happened to the pics?
