As you may have noticed, I've begun a series of articles on painting hard (ABS, aka Styrene) RC car bodies in the "blog" section. I'm not setting myself up as an "expert" on paint - this is just things I have learned by doing.
It was going to be a single article, but having reached 10,000 words without finishing it, our fearleass leader Lars agreed it would be better to serialiase it. It's still not finished, but I would anticipate it'll run to 12 parts, each appearing on a weekly basis. These are the parts so far - I'll add to this list as more articles appear: Part 1: Why Paint at all? : amateur psychology of the motivations for painting our cars Part 2: Choosing a Paint System : what sort of paints work best for me Part 3: A Better Appreciation of Weather (and Forecasting) : pretty self explanatory ? Paint Prep, pt.1 Paint Prep. pt.2 Part 6: Driver Figures: Plaid Shirts & Jeans Part 7: Driver Figures: Faces Why I'm posting this here is that 99+% of the site notifications for new threads, PMs, gallery comments & blog comments just don't make it to my inbox - my ISP seems to think they're all spam & deletes them immediately, where as proper junk - including 419 scams from Nigeria, ads for Viagra, viruses, and phishing puporting to be from just about every bank, anywhere, ever - gets through unfettered So, if anyone does have any feedback of question, it would be better if you posted them here, so I have chance of seeing them, when I click the "Recent Topics" button. Future bits planned include: Spraying in general Masking & Lining Rectifying Paint Faults (two parts) |

I wouldn't rely on that, not since I discovered it was possible to rate my own articles, anyway |

Um, does that mean the ratings were all you then?
Sorry Jonny, I haven't read them yet, I will at some point though, & I'll bet there'll be some spectacular info & tricks in there too!
