First, some publicity:
this
is my Ebay listing for a mixed lot of RC parts (mainly in case Martin, who I know likes surprise boxes of parts) hasn't seen it
Current position is that there have been 7 bids taking if from 99p to 10.50 GBP (+ post) - which means I'm past the break even point of fees & postage - but the interesting thing to me is that there have been 374 views and there are 57 people watching it ... That seems like a lot of interest to me, but I thought we should have a kind of sweepstake as to what will actually happen after it ends around 2115 GMT on Sunday evening: the winner will get ... I don't know, i'll think of something appropriate My guess: two people bid it up a couple more quid, and the other 55 say "Tsssk, I would have bid higher than that ..." |

I just looked up post to Australia and although it's cheaper than I expected for a 7 kg, 51cm X 39cm x 24cm parcel, it's still 65 GBP - or 130 AUD |

I couldn't get a quote for surface post for some reason (2-3 month delivery time), that price was for air (3+ days) ... so the insurance would be mechanical gremlins*, suicidal pilot and taking a short cut through a war zone cover, allegedly * live, DDT-resistant, 1948 Gremlins under the engine cover (a la Cast a Deadly Spell) as opposed to small robots, or indeed fluffy 1984 Gremlins, obviously |
